I get ribbed on a lot here, but I know it's all in good fun and maybe that's why I did not think it would mean any harm.
Can't speak for anyone else. But I have found a full and hasty retreat when one makes a mistake to be an excellent reaction that typically results in said mistake being forgotten. It demonstrates no ill will. Therefore kudo's for taking responsibility.

Reflectors.... Even if i get squished like a bug, at least I won't have the shame of being scraped up off the road, along with shattered reflectors

I don't care what you ride.....If your happy,I'm happy too....Wear a clown suit and ride a bike with offset hubs for all I care.I might be able to keep up with you then.

Do we get to judge hair styles next?......

Wait! I judge hairstyles. Did you ever see little boys with mullet cuts and one long braid hanging down somewhere? What is that? What are these, little dress-up dolls for Mom? Give the kid a crew cut and send him out into the mud, I say...

I don't care what clothes they wear, how they wear their hair ... just so long as they give up their Huffies when they grow up.

This might sum up most of your complaints:

Bad paint, improper use of quick release, the pink hand grips don't match the purple forks. And the single speed chain was noisy as hell. I don't mind judging this guy's bike because he was total hipster, so he probably thinks it's cool in an ironic way. I especially like the purple guard for the not there derailleur.

Hi! I'm new here and this is my first post, I have to sort of agree with the O.P. in a lot of ways. I have pride in keeping my bike looking clean and new as possible, It's kinda like having a nice car to me! It probably shouldn't bother me but I hate when I see a really nice bike that is filthy and not maintained!! I have never had the luxury of treating an expensive possession like crap because I was to lazy to clean it!!
Another thing that gripes me is all of the FLAT BLACK BIKES , Looks like SH%# to me! If people were honest the only reason they really like it is it looks the same clean or dirty!! (CRAPPY) so they don't have to bother keeping it nice or cleaning it. That would cut in on there Cell phone worshiping time!! Ok rant over!! It's your bike so do as you please!!!! Ha Ha!! Great forum Thanks for letting me be a pert of it!

Is this really the only reason to do a drop bar conversion? I did my first drop bar conversion because I like to ride my mountain bike in the hooks of the drops. Not to get aero but for the more secure grip. I also like having a few more hand positions than offered by a flat bar

YUCK !!
If you hate derailleurs shouldn't you hate any bike that isn't a single speed? Last I checked 5,6,7 & 8 speed rears use derailleurs too

Every time I ride with a new group, many seem less interested in meeting me than looking my bike up and down and comparing it to theirs. Don't love it, but it makes me have to "prove" myself on the road with them because I am riding a low-end Felt instead of a Dogma...

You must have a matching cooler also. My bike. Not lifted internet pics.

Sorry about the red straps on the cooler, I should have known better!

Also, on the subject of dark bikes, dark clothes, no lights and reflectors at night...maybe they have a reason not to be seen?

Ever wonder who goes out at night and steals crap? Might be part of the answer you think?
