Just thought this would bring some mostly truthful humor to this thread...

Since "cyclist" is the all encompassing pejorative used to refer to erratic children, teens, homeless and adults who fail to follow the rules of the road either deliberately or through ignorance I'd rather not be called that. If someone comes up with a term for law abiding people who ride in a predictable and responsible manner you can call me that.

The EPA does this. Legal systems are required to have a stamp on them signifying EPA approval.

Often people who make an issue about their alleged superiority over other cyclists due to an obsession with their own version of law abiding, predictability and so-called responsible manner are called smug, OCD, Club, and/or Vehicular Cyclists. Especially when they consider cyclists who don't share their profile (bicycling or social) as some sort of unworthy lowlife.

Observant? Yes.
I suggest that you re-read the posts on BF from those who express obvious contempt for cyclists and cast pejoratives (no matter what names they use) at cyclists who don't share a devotion/obsession with riding in a IAW a rigid, so-called predictable and responsible manner playbook/rulebook regardless of circumstances or traffic conditions
