Source for buying tires in bulk

I started a flipping business out of my shed in the backyard. Since I don't have wholesaler distributors, I am finding it difficult to find tires for less than $15/tire. I found that on ebay and amazon. That's too much for me. I need to spend $8-9/tire. Any ideas?

That is a tough price point, but not underasonable. But, it is also a sign of the faults with our current business pricing structures. Many companies will refuse to do business with you if you're to small.

Keep an eye out for specials and closeout deals.

Have you tried Manufacturers, Suppliers, Exporters & Importers from the world's largest online B2B marketplace-Alibaba.com

Performance Bike - on line or in their brick and mortar outlets. Forte Strada road tire is $9.00 on sale. Buy in quantities that you might need... The Kevlar version was Strada K, about $5 more. It's been replaced by another designation now...

While not a steady source, you could probably do well using Nashbar's frequent 20% off coupons on some of their closeout tires. Several of these would hit your price point with 20% off.

I like the idea of having a standard from the distributor perspective. I wouldn't want everyone to buy at wholesale prices. The retail storefront thing is bs. I say business license and resale tax id only. That's a solid minimum. 95% of shoppers won't have that.

I see a website https://www.bikewebsite.com/25ways.html that suggests that I can get in with some of the smaller distributors who are trying to get ahead like me. I haven't tried that yet.

Thanks for the links. That $9.00 tire is a good deal.

Once you file a Business Licence you may get a Dealer price , though most wholesalers want to see the store Front.

In 1990 I made a contact with The Finnish Nokia company and ordered 10 tires at a Time , imported direct thru the Mail..

If I had access to any Capital I could have gotten the Import distributorship, Now they have several ..

I generally order tires and tubes for bikes I refurbish for Scouts from Niagara Cycle. I always got decent service and reasonable prices.
Tire inventory: Bike Tire | Tubeless Bike Tires | Mountain Bike Tires - Niagara Cycle
Example cheapie 26" tire 7 tires under $10 for the 26 X 1 to 1.75 width Tires & Tubes - Tires - 26" - 26 x 1.00" - 1.75" - Niagara Cycle Tubes run from $2.59 up for this same size tire. They are decent quality too. Tires & Tubes - Tubes - 26" - Niagara Cycle

Fietsbob, thanks. That offer to a distributorship sounds like a winning deal.

VegasTriker, those are some awesome deals. That's what I was looking for from a website. Thanks.

I'm still going after a business license and sales tax id. I want those wholesale accounts for the future.

Anyone have a source for 200 RED 26 x 1.5 street bike tires? I've been searching and haven't found anything.

Kenda Kwest here, but you'll have to check for quantity.

https://www.modernbike.com/red-26-inch-tires

You might be able to get a distributor to get 200 for you, someone like Hawley or J&B.

Flip more expensive bikes. Better profit margin. More interesting bikes.
