Croozer C1 Bike Trailer - Any good?
Hey all, I found a Croozer C1 brand new for $159. Is that a good trailer?
I can't find much about it. Also I found a Schwinn Double used for $75. I did post in another sub forum but now i found the Croozer.
Thanks for the help

My two grandsons were hauled around in one until they were too big, and the trailer was sold afterwards still in excellent condition.
I still have a Croozer cargo trailer that I use all the time, and it has been excellent too.

I used to sell Croozer trailers in my shop. They are not what you would call light weight by any means, hefty steel frames and all, but they are very sturdy and durable.

I cant seem to find any real reviews on it. Also can you remove that front bar to reduce the weight? Most trailers don't have those.
Also doesnt seem that I can put 1 child in the middle?
I think over a Schwinn its worth it?
Using a 2011 Specialized HardRock Disc and a 2014 Trek 1.2

I just purchased the same trailer from the same same retailer. The box arrived pretty beat up because it's 30lbs and fedex are terrible, but it seems to have survived just fine. I have yet to assemble it since we are hosting family this weekend. I plan on putting it together Tuesday, I can report back and let you know if you'd like. First impression is that is seems like it's a quality trailer though.

Thanks yeah, I was hoping too be able to have him ride in the middle but it doesn't support it. I am just going to pick up a Schwinn cheap for like $75 to see if he likes it.
If he does, I'll re-sell it and get either a cruiser or burley.

But yeah, try the Schwinn and see, it seems like a nice trailer too. I figured I could re-sell mine and at least break even if my little one doesn't like it, people are asking $225-$250 for the Croozer on Craigslist in my area, so $160 shipped seemed like a decent deal.

After reading your post I just went and checked the owners manual that came with my C1. I can confirm that it does support 1 child in the middle position, actually it states "Children traveling alone in the trailer MUST sit in the middle position." so there you have it.

Hey awesome. Appreciate it. Yeah today I got a brand new /used schwinn for $75. I could re-sell it but this model has postive reviews.
I wish that C1 was more documented online.
Yeah for $160 very tempted to grab one to see the difference.
Thanks again

I've got a Croozer, but it's aluminum frame - we've probably put 1500km on it so far between running and biking (probably half and half). It'll start getting less use now that my youngest is on a trailer bike, but right now I'm still bringing it on longer trips for when he gets tired.
