Does the forum software allow IP address ranges to be blocked instead of specific addresses? If so, and if the spambots seem to be operating from certain geographical regions, you may be able to block the whole region pretty easily.
Just a suggestion from one of the many IT geeks on the forum.

yeah, a while back, I banned an entire country known for celebrity rock charity concerts. Right now they aren't coming from address ranges we want to ban.

I know at one time it appeared that my IP address was located somewhere in Asia, even though I'm in Australia.

don't worry, we have real users from almost everywhere, so we're pretty careful. I think the people that run bots use compromised computers

All Things Moto, or ATM as it is usually called. Member at Thumper Talk, haven't logged in since around 2009. I helped start ATM, it was largely a memorial site to Garrett M. Berg (Motoman393 at TT), a member at TT, he was killed on one of the first YZ 450F, in 2002. Mike Berg is his father, a close friend, I did the Godspeed Motoman393 decals that were sent out, after he was killed. I am Florida 426 at TT, and Florida393 at ATM, but I can't ride any more, Parkinson's Disease killed that off after racing MX since 1973.

I'm NYMXer over there at T/T, log in and say hello. I'm sorry about the other things, but hope you are coping. I was an active member at ATM for a while then stopped, I don't remember why. Are you an Architect (your avatar), I am a Civil Engineer.
