Hi all,

I am looking to put new water bottle cages, bar tape and hood covers on my 1985 Jim Moulden Road bike, which is my main riding bike. I was wondering what colour would look best for the bar tape. I'm also looking for new water bottle cages, as the ones I have are hideous (one of them is pictured.) So, the question is: Based on the current paint on the bike (see pictures here), what colour would you use for new bar tape and bottle cages? I'm pretty sure the only gum hoods I can get are the tan/gum colour. Am I correct in thinking this? If so, that's something to keep in mind.

I realize that this is a pretty pointless post, but I thought I'd get some opinions, as I've seen some very nice looking rides on here!

I'd say that if you can't get a matching cage, go with either stainless or black (depending on your budget). I'd also recommend black tape with black hoods (although you could keep the gum hoods to match the tire rims).
