strange crash

I went out riding with my son today. He's getting ready for his first race this weekend. He's smoking the single track up and down.I mean he's starting to spook me he's haulin' butt so fast on the down hills. On on trail he dropped me going down hill, I was pushing and he put it on the old man.So were riding out on a gravel road in the big ringand he just slams himself into the gravel.Strangest thing I have ever seen, one second he's mashing along the next splat right on his elbow. Banged it up pretty good , I hope he can race this weekend. Kinda sucks fer sure.

Ouchy. How old is your son? That's neat that he likes to ride and race. I hope his elbow gets better soon.

Is he alright? I took a spill into some sharp gravel about a month ago, it took a chunk out of the flesh in my knee, still scabbed up and I'm sure it'll always be a pretty nasty scar. Couldn't ride for a couple weeks without breaking the scab (when it was at its worst). Hope nothing was sprained or broken for him.
