What color should I paint my bike?
I broke the aluminum seat post collar on my carbon fiber monocoque bike. The good news: it can be repaired. The better news: it is under warranty. The bad news: I have to strip the frame and ship it back to the factory. More good news: as long as I have it stripped and shipped, it's going to get a much-needed fresh coat of paint. It is currently white with some serious scrapes (no structrural damage that I can detect, though). What color do you suggest?

Blue... everything in blue...
It's a great colour, easy to match your clothes with , and it's classic. Of course, if you can get a transparent clearcoat over the CF instead [not an option], I'd go with that. Visible carbon weave is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool.

My steel steed is a very classy metallic burgundy, but yours probably needs something racier. How about a really deep blue with white highlights.
BTW what kind of frame is it?

I voted for blue since my new bike is going to be blue. My current bike (a mid-70's Romani) is red, so that would be my second choice. Before I had it repainted, it was blue and the Trek I had before that was also blue.
When I was going to have the Romani repainted I wanted a metallic red but the colors were too dark. I ended up with a Ferrari red with the lug cutouts painted white along with the double R's embossed on the forks. The decals are also white. The guy who painted the frame had the brilliant idea to add a small amount of metal flake to the first layer of clear coat. The effect is very subtle. It's not noticeable in the shade but, in the sunlight, it gives a really nice sheen to the paint. Even after 8 years I still get compliments on it.

All righty, then. Majority rules. I called the factory and told them to paint it Mango. It's the color I really wanted anyway.

My road bike is blue, but my MTB and cyclocross bike are both mango [the latter is something that Kona calls "Rasta Mustard," but it's really mango]. So I'd say that, if I had a second choice [other than clearcoat], it would have been mango.

Enjoy the new paint! Sorry, I'm just biased toward red!

Mmmmmmmmmango.
Go, ManGo!
I got my baby back...freshly painted and with ersatz upgrade stickers. This bike is almost too pretty to ride! I thought you might want to see what you voted for.
