Hi all, I am relativley new to cycling having first started last August. By the fall I was doing half century rides but did not ride at all during the winter and due to some bouts with respiratory illnesses and some injuries got a late start on riding this season and feel like I am starting from scratch.

Some friends want to do a ride in New England 100 miles/day for 2 days 200 miles total ) which I believe will be the first week in Sept. Can anyone give me some pointers or advice on how best to train for such an event over the next 3 months, besides renting a car and following them?
