Detto Pietro non-flat soles
There are Detto Pietro shoes of the flat sole, and the bent sole )whatever the title to that sole is, I don't know(.
There are those who own classic, heavier weight steel road bikes (the ones with toe-clips, downshift, lesser gears, etc.) --- who infrequently drive such bikes. When doing such, drive it @ a slower slow pace.
Why I bring this:
if only having the Detto Pietro with the curved/bent sole. that would be distracting the pace. As that style be more for faster speed.
The real use --- be for the cyclist who sits on the seat, of a frame size/height several cm larger. Such as standing on a red traffic light.
What do others say?

A flat sole road racing shoe is an anomaly , the cleats were nailed on soles of leather that were not Flat, Generations ago.
