Help in choosing seatpost

Hello,

I am new to this forum and need your help to choose the best seatpost. I have a 29ner hardtail and want to install a new seatpost that minimize the vibrations from road/trail. I am in between the:

Specialized Cobl Gobl-r Carbon Seatpost.

AND

Cane Creek Thudbuster Long Travel Seatpost.

I am a heavy rider 112kg.

I have concerns about the Thundbuster because it has many moving parts. It looks wobbly!

If you feel that there is abetter option other than the previous one I mentioned in the post, please let me know.

Do you ride in the saddle all the time, even on trail? If yes - try and ride out of the saddle more. It will reduce vibrations and likely will save your saddle rails from breaking.
Did you try to lower the pressure in your tires?
Also - try and ask on mtbr forums, lots of experience with heavy riders and seatposts you mention.

The Thud-buster will absorb smaller bumps and has a variety of 9 elatomers To be mixed or in pairs for up to 250 # riders @ 246 # you are right up to the edge of max..Seatposts you are too heavy for carbon posts.. Consider tempered Chromoly steel, perhaps?

I've ridden a Thud for years at weights up to 250, and it still works. It doesn't provide a lot of extra comfort, though. Have you considered larger tires at lower pressures? On my everyday, around town bike, I'm running 700x41s at 50psi
