I dunno man, I see a lot of kids wearing high socks. Seems to be all the rage around here!

top tube descending and arms on the bars aren't so bad, especially if you have the right roads. The rest...yes.I don't tend to have hills big enough to aero tuck into (if you aren't spinning out, don't do it!) and flexibility isn't enough to do the arms on the bars for any length of time.

I've put my elbows on the bars once or twice, but generally it's on my flat bar road bike when I'm biking into a 20 MPH wind and I will do absolutely anything to get a bit more aero. It's really not that bad. A bit disconcerting at first, but you get used to it.
On my drop bar bikes, I just get down into the drops and bend my elbows until my face is almost touching the stem. I've only ever had to tuck once (not a lot of steep downhills around here that aren't curvy or windy), and I did this. Somehow my stomach was touching the nose of my saddle, which surprised me because I'm a skinny guy.

Should have been eight things.
They forgot doping up at breakfast and riding with motors in your bike.

I don't think I've ever had the lower half of my legs burn. Ever... Seriously, I cannot ever remember a time when my calves/shins burnt. Thighs/quads? Heck yeah, that's where I get my sweet biking shorts tan lines from.

I have used that top tube tuck descending technique in races to very good effect. The only thing you have to watch out for is not to burn the inside of your thighs where they intersect your front tire.
I have personal experience with this.

I would put consuming 5000 calories per day on the list. As for fashion faux pas, here in Tokyo there are no rules. Riding while wearing a ballerina costume and a rubber horse mask won't turn many heads.

My calves have burnt before. That was back when I never wore sunscreen. It can definitely happen. In fact, I am looking at my calves right now. The muscular parts just below the knees are a few shades darker than my lower calves.

Only two of these were mildly meaningful (whizzing on a bike, and not adding weight need to be said?) and as others have said, those two aren't so bad anyway. Forearms on the top bars is fine. It gives the hands a rest. It gives the arms a rest. It's more aero. Basically it gives you break. It's best for well known good conditions though and obviously requires caution. Of course you could get clip on aero bars. Top tube descending also ok, although I don't see the point if you aren't a pro.
So was there anything useful in the video? Still I suppose we're entertained.

I don't have an issue with tall socks, I wear them all the time.... Living in MN, tall wool socks are needed for the cold mornings. I thought the point was the compression socks, but I guess the only issue is 'how they look' which is meaningless to me (for the most part).
I'd say the point about the tuck and the elbows on the bars is that a lot of the wanna-bes (Freds) will try these positions and get hurt because they don't have the handling skills. For my part, there isn't a hill in my area that you can spin out... and I suck at descending, so the aero tuck isn't in the cards for me. About, the elbows on the bars, it's really about controlling your bike on open roads with traffic. If your racing, you're not on open roads.

Well, obviously because
---
Yeah I was just joking
They aren't compression socks, obviously - they're actually dress socks but turned out to be super tall for some reason. Decided to pair them with my jersey one day at a t-shirt ride and an outfit was born. So many people complimented them on the ride it was pretty funny.

The good part of all of this is that it didn't say I should not pitch my empty water bottle into the weeds.

I sure hope nobody does that on purpose. I'm just too cheap to buy new bottles all the time. Hell, if one bounces out when I'm going over a pothole, I go back for it.

I almost lost one of my bottles off the side of one of those wood MUP bridges you're so fond of. I had to scramble to get it before it fell into the muck below.
