Dengfu carbon fork issue??
Just got this in the mail today. Is this correct? There are two holes on the inside of the fork blade a few inches above the bottom of the forks on both sides. Fork by joeracer355, Fork by joeracer355, Fork by joeracer355, on Flickr

I have no idea but that certainly doesn't look like a well made hole that is for sure. Looks like an accident. The holes are right across from each other in the same exact spot?

My carbon fork is smooth as a baby's bottom on the inside and outside. No holes. This is on a steel hybrid bike.

I posted this on Ask Scrod. He said "Those are vent holes to prevent the fork from filling with hot air and exploding when it was molded."
I'm so relieved! Can't wait to mount it now!

Vent holes are usually nice round holes that look like they're supposed to be where they're located.

It looks to me like the holes aren't even clean - there's fiber showing? Just put a drop of epoxy in them to fill them in, and tape over them until it sets.
