Urban Dictionary overlook?
Just sort of wondering. The phrase drop the hammer (that is in the Urban Dictionary) has been sort of bike forumed around to drope the hamer. I didn't see this bastardized version of this saying in my admittedly lazy Google search. Are bicycle riders undeserving of a place in the UD? Clearly these words have meaning to those in the know.

Years ago there was a BF member named Ryan F. He coined the phrase. He also contributed the word "guads" to the lexicon.

The meaning they have to those in the know is simply that RyanF couldn't spell and people mocked him.

Maybe we need to start the BF dictionary.

You cannot grasp "drope the hamer" until you dial up 400 watts in your mighty guads, give some pretender The Look, and melt pavement as you blast past him.
There used to be a sticky for classic threads.

"Automotivism" and the use of "ad hom" as a verb, are often repeated favorite terms, unique to the LCF list of BF.

There are several posters on BF who make such a habit of poor spelling and weird sentence structure, that I suspect English is a second language, bad Google translator, mental problems, and/or a weird sense of humor.

Never knew its exact origin but it seemed like an inside joke so i pretended to laugh at it. I use it for people who seem a little too serious about it all. and yeah you totally gotta kick it up to 400 watts to drope the hammer.

Yes. Dial it up to 400 watts (which, as some might remember, is around 19 mph).

I believe "hammer" only has one "M" in it when you drope it.

it wasn't many-times-banned RyanF, I'm sure he used these terms after they gained widespread acceptance on BF. It was someone with username Duraace3000 or something like that. I'm sure someone will come along from road to correct me.

Sort of like a song getting stuck in your head- I find myself thinking "Time to drope the hamer" before making an effort to pass someone..

I think they both contributed to BF lexicon.

Today, I "Droped the hamer" on an unsuspecting group of old ladies and poodles. I'm sure they were in awe of my "Mitey guads" as I "Dialed up to 400 whats"
Dang, BF is a funny as heck place!

proper use of the term "drope the hamer" does not include the quotes. Same for "dialed it up to 400watts"
