its only 18miles so probably really short but it looks like fun

The Tour kicks off from Prospect Park's Grand Army Plaza. The 18-mile route will take you through scenic Brooklyn neighborhoods to Coney Island and back again. Stay after and enjoy the Brooklyn Best Festival and join us later on for the Tour de Brooklyn after-party at a new eco-friendly café in Ft. Green – Café Habanna, where riders will be treated to free samples of delicious fruit smoothies made from a bicycle powered blender.

This is a family friendly ride at a leisurely pace, escorted by the police and safety marshals. There will be one rest stop along the way where you can take a break, check out the scenery and grab a complimentary snack

Sounds like a nice ride. The escorted police and safety marshals caught my eye. I might go if the Five Borough Bike doesn't have anything on the calendar for that day.
