Does anyone have any experience with CUBE bikes?
I'm a novice cyclist but am starting to realize how enjoyable it is, and am looking to get a better fitting bike.
I'm currently riding about 75 miles per week (two 20-26 mile rides and one longer 32ish mile ride).
I feel like I'm getting to the point where investing in a new bike makes sense.
I'm 6' 6" tall, and wear a 36" inseam in pants. My current bike is a 1990 Giant Cadex 980c that is a 58cm frame. The seat post is pretty much maxed out, as well as the stem, and I feel ever so slightly scrunched.
Money is a little tight, so I've been questing for the perfect entry bike for a rider of my size. I have about $350 invested in to my current gear (got my bike from a friend, put new tires on it, helmet, shorts, used shoes and pedals).
I plan to try and sell my bike to curb the cost of a new one.
There are two bikes I have been considering.
Giordano Libero 1.6 (Giordano Libero Men's Road Bike - Giordano Bikes)
Cube Attain (https://www.cube.eu/en/products/road...luenblack-2016)
I've found the Libero for $420, and the Attain for $600.
The Libero's large frame says its for riders up to 6' 4" and I'm a little concerned that it won't fit me properly.
Does anyone have any experience with CUBE, have an insights on the Libero, or have any other recommendations that might fit my needs?
Thank you all in advance for any advice given - this is a wild sport!

The link for the cube bike is dead - they've updated their website to the 2017 models and the 2016 link is kaput.
If the seatpost is standard, you can buy a longer aftermarket one. Hardly ideal, but better than your knees hitting your chin. Same with the stem. You can get a longer one with a higher angle. Better to buy a bike that fits. I'd call the local rep or distributor to see if you can talk to someone with experience.
Good luck, enjoy.

Look at used bikes. Best bang for the buck.
58 is waaay too small for you. You need to ride a few larger bikes to feel the difference, unfortunately few bike shops have anything in stock for a 6'6" test rider.
What city?

Used bikes were my first interest. Originally, I was going to just get a nicer old steel frame that would fit and buy a new claris/sora gorupset for it. I live in the Oklahoma City area. It seems like there are lots of good deals on bikes that are *nearly* my size.

At 6'6" you're going to have a heck of a time finding a bike that fits you. Unfortunately, bikes really aren't built for very tall people anymore. I've seen a few 68 cm bikes here and here at my local COOP, and lots of 62-64 cm (nothing in between oddly enough.) Scour craigslist, look at your local bike COOP. You'll find one eventually. (Probably within a few months.) Now is actually a good time because people are getting rid of things before winter. Spring is also good. Go to your local COOP and ask if they have any larger frames. You may be able to build a bike up over the winter.
