Thule Apex vs Yakima Fulltilt Recommendation?
Hi,
I am trying to decide between getting a Thule Apex and the Yakima Fulltilt bike rack. Any recommendations on which you prefer? Why? I have heard good things about the Thule. The Yakima zip straps and adjustable arms looked nicer, so wasn't sure what people thought. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

I have the Thule Vertex (a two-bike version of the Apex).
It is a solid rack, very well made.
I don't like the Thule straps, I had one already fail, they can be difficult to cinch when new and then the soften up progressively until they fail. It took about six months for the one that failed (it started a crack, I didn't wait for it to fail completely, it was slow in progressing, so that there was no danger for the bikes).
I have a Sarris Bones II strap on rack with ratcheting ties and I love them. Unfortunately, it doesn't mount well on my Mustang, so I had to go the hitch mounted rack route.
I have no experience with the Yakima, but it looks like a combination of the best features of my Thule and my Sarris.
