If these aren't staged then it's only a matter of time before they do this to the WRONG dude.

It's not that I have a lot of time, it's that I'm so slow that it seems so.

Some of my friends have posted those videos for a couple of years. I can't find 'em funny.
It's not a case of misplaced unwarranted sympathy for thieves. I don't even care if the "thieves" are paid participants. The cable anchors used on most bikes are so obvious it seems unlikely the "thieves" aren't in on the prank. But they obviously aren't trained stuntmen and many of them are risking serious injury for a few cheap laughs.
The whole thing reeks of the same schadenfreude as bum fight videos. The Twinz TV pranksters specialize in overt racism while sprinkling in just enough not-black victims to give them a slick excuse. It's dehumanizing.
I've seen enough of this among my own acquaintances who have struggled with addiction, mental illness, petty crime and homelessness. Most of them are completely different people when they're sober, straight or on their prescribed psych meds. It would be horrifying to see one of them face-plant in the concrete for a few cheap laughs for the millions on YouTube over a bike prank.
Set up the bait bikes to snap clear photos and videos of the thieves and give 'em to law enforcement or post them on social media and around town. But the rest of what the Twinz TV guys do is sadistic and dehumanizing. And either these guys have no idea of the consequences of concussions and traumatic brain injury, or they don't care and consider their prank victims subhuman.
The best thing that could happen to the producers of those videos is to be sued by the injured victims or families. A signed release from a person with diminished capacity could be challenged in court. All it takes is the right story -- a homeless military veteran with TBI or PTSD from war service, high, drunk or off his meds, but with an otherwise heart tugging back story and an aggressive attorney.

They're like those "superfly" flash vids from the 00's, but the superfly ones were funnier.
I had to go back and see one lol

Don't watch these bait videos or any of the prank videos. I did once and now my youtube feed is littered with these stupid videos. I don't believe a single one of them. They are all staged.
I've deleted my history and still get recommended these ridiculous videos.

I love watching the thieves get what's coming. Couldn't care less about the thieves' safety. Had a couple of bikes stolen in grade school, never got over it....

Their victims are subhuman, and neither are they "victims". Wtf indeed.
Take pictures and report to the local authorities? What a hoot. If the useless local authorities took even a minimal interest in doing their job, THEY'D be the ones operating the bait bikes. But nooo, nobody cares about petty / bike thieves until they end up being the victim.
If you want to use drugs, that's your business. But don't turn it into a problem for other people. Nope. I'm not down for that. I'm sorry, but I have zero sympathy for a thief stealing to feed their own sorry ass addition. None. Just shoot em and be done with it.
Or, I have a better idea, we'll just shuttle them off to your neighborhood, since you seem inclined to "tolerate" their presence. What's that zip code again?
