20 years of roadies, never crashed.

12 years of MTB, I have crashed 2 times.

Last one was about 2010, flipped on a fast washboard hard pack descent at about 25 MPH. Not good! Couldn't sit on a bike for a month without discomfort and a shoulder injury.

I'm a big believer in riding MTB really improves your roadie skills. Going down a dirt road at 35 mph is scary. But after you get the hang of it, going down a paved road at 40 is pretty tame.
