The end of the deadly disc debate

This is a cross post from r.cc, but i thought I'd share it here too

https://youtu.be/Wci05Ayn7CI

To me this video proves that the spokes are no more dangerous than the disc on a bike. When that cucumber got shot into the spokes it shredded that thing far worse than anything else the disc did. Add to that the Abu Dhabi sliced shoe is now confirmed as complete BS.

Weird, when I stuck my shoe-less heal into the spokes on my rear tire as a kid. It didn't eat my foot.

My brother, when a kid, managed to get his shoe-less toes stuck in the chain and rear cogs. Soooooo much blood.

Why are road disc bikes suddenly a decapitation danger? Haven't disc equipped bikes been used in MTB and cyclocross races for years without any problems?

I believe the massive pileup of racers in road racing my have something to do with it. Plus, much faster speeds.

I could be mistaken, but aren't MTB and CX races less bunched up, where large crashes where another riders legs are tossed into a spinning disc just not so common?
