Shimano SLX CS-M7000 hub compatability?

I know that shimano's new 11 speed XTR cassettes are compatible with the 8,9,10 speed hubs, but does the SLX share that compatibility? Debating on upgrading my mountain bike to a 1x (derailleur and shifter are worn so now would be as good as a time as any.) Yes, the bushings in the derailleur have lots of sideways play. It's actually worn, I'm not just upgrading for the heck of it.

Shimano mountain hubs are compatible with mountain 11 speed back to the early 2000s.
