Powder Coating in Chicago

Does anybody know of an outfit that does powder coating on bike frames in the Chicago area at a reasonable ($50-75) price? I picked up a '75 Raleigh Super Course MK II that I'm building from scratch into a single speed but I gotta get her painted first and powder coating seems to be the way to go, but the one place I called that powder coats for the shop I work in quoted me 175.00. No dice kemosabe.

I called tons of places. The only reasonable quote I got was $100 from west loop auto. Just ended up rattle canning it.

you may want to check out Lo-Ko in Oak Lawn https://www.lo-ko.com/
i've never used them before but have seen there work at it turned out very nice. i work at a bike shop and a few of my customers have had some custom paint work done thru Lo-Ko. a frame and fork (one color) was under $100 if i remember correctly...

if you don't care about the color you can ask if they can do your
bike with leftover paint from a previous job. you might be able to
save money if they don't have to reset all their equipment.

The other option I'm thinking about is using Superthane Aliphatic Acrylic Urethane. It's a two part industrial epoxy enamel I found out about. Supposed to rival baked on enamels for abrasion resistance and fade resistance. We'll see.

Forget that Superthane Aliphatic Acrylic Urethane. it's $100.00/gal, and that's without primer, accellerator and thinner. I think I'm going with Hammerite.
