I just bought a pair of 700x23 Armadillos from a LBS on Monday. I noticed on the front tire that the bead line seam in one particular area falls below the lip of the rim, while the rest of the tire has the bead line seam just above the lip of the rim where it belongs. Consequently, the tire in this location sort of dips when it rolls, giving a "wobbly" ride. The rim appears true and to test that out, I took out the tube, spun the tire around so that this funny spot was now by the stem hole (used to be opposite the stem hole), and then put the tube and tire back on. The tire still dips funny in that same spot, so at least I know the rim's true. Did I just get a bad tire? Have you ever seen tires like this? Should I take it back to the LBS and hopefully they'll be cool about swapping it out?
The 1st pic is of the normal bead line, 2nd is it starting to dip, and the 3rd it the bead line going down below the rim's edge.
