Bike phone holders
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a nice phone holder to mounth on my handlebars on Amazon. Thing is I need a good one, I don't want my phone to fall on the floor when I go over a bump.
Do you guys have any suggestions?

This is my one and only mount. I have been using it for a few months now and it holds my Moto Z (about size of Pixel XL) fine. I once forgot to attach the silicone bands and it stayed in the mount for the whole trip. Highly recommended.

I used the Delta version with an iPhone 6s and it seemed to work fine. It's available on Amazon. Also did a little video about it if you want to actually see it installed.

Search on Amazon Taotronics-Universal-Smartphone-One-button-Rotatable
I have this one and it works well and sits secure. I've tried few others, but this one at least seems to have a solid arm to attach to handlebar.

I have the Delta for my iPhone 4s. Works fine, no complaints -- only cost $3 from Amazon warehouse because there's so little demand for iPhone 4s accessories now. All my bikes have quill stems so I bolt it across the handlebars. Vertical orientation only.
If money wasn't an object I'd go for the Quad Lock. Most folks I ride with locally use the Quad Lock. Most of 'em started out with something else and eventually moved to the Quad Lock and said they should have started with it in the first place.
But the Delta is really good for the money even at full price. It frames the entire phone very securely, doesn't block any of the screen, controls or ports.

I bought a QuadLock myself. It's really sturdy and comes with a water resistant cover in case it starts to rain during your ride. Only downside was the price of it. I believe i paid about $50.

Even if you pull over to use your phone, it's still advantageous to have it mounted in front of you, to not have to keep pulling it out of a pocket and put it back.

I kind of accidentally made one, which works pretty well. My criteria for a phone mount is:
1) has to be easy to take on and off, without leaving anything on the bike
2) not cover up the display surface
3) hold the phone securely.
I have this phone wallet, but the first thing I do with those is rip out the phone holder part and hold it in with a magnet on the phone. Because I don't want the phone stuck in there, and it's secure enough. So I have the rubbery plastic holder part on my desk, about to go for a run and thought, "that could be an arm band phone holster" - I cut two slits and slid an elastic strap through with snaps on the ends (I used magnets). It worked perfectly. But even better, the straps looped a couple of times around the handlebars and it's pretty secure and checks off the first two requirements. It's basically just a thin hard case with a strap.
You could probably do the same thing with a hard case. Just food for thought, if you want to bypass this whole search for the best phone mount.
