Sunglasses - Looking for recommendations on Amber / Orange lenses

The topic says it all. I have a big head.
Most brands like Tifosi only come with a normal dark, rose and clear lens. What brand can i get that has a amber lens? I seem to see so much clearer with these on. It makes things so much brighter. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Amber lenses are blue blocking. They do make vision sharper. Blue light doesnt focus on the retina like other colors do.

yup......thats why i would like to find some recommendations. I have a pair of Tifosi Veloce glasses that fit me well but the orange / amber they make is super hard to find and very very expensive for a pair of lenses. Id rather just buy another set of glasses if i have to dump that much into lenses.

Hate to name drop the brand, but Oakley makes a nice set of Amber lenses on and for a variety of the frame models.

I will try to find some. I am going to check out Smith Optics too.......they make great stuff but they are spendy. I think the REI near here carries them.

I have a pair of Serengeti sunglasses I have been very happy with. I have the Velocity model with the driver's gradient. It is an amber color that tapers off towards the bottom for viewing the dashboard of a car. They work great on the bicycle too.

My favorite that I have tried is the sportflex lens color on native sunglasses. Enough to ease the sun but can still see in heavily shaded spots. They are not great if you want darker lenses though. I use them with a visor and seems to be perfect balance of seeing clear and sun blind. If it is anything but bright out I stick to clear glasses.

Depending on your line of work or organizations you may belong to, you can get discounts on Smith through Promotive.com

BTW I prefer amber blue block Polaroid lens. They block the blue of course, and also blocks glare.

BTW true to form, I bought a pair that were non-name brand. Check on Amazon for instance.

I normally wear dark Oakley's but I wanted a pair for my early morning rides that start almost in the dark. I bought these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I am really satisfied with the quality and how well they work.

My husband has a hard time finding decent sunglasses that are wide enough. I just bought him the scattante bliss at performance bikes on sale for $40. They come with grey, amber and clear lenses.

My favorite glasses are grey, with optic coating inside and outside. They cost about $30 from Amazon. Amazing polarized glasses for that price. Grey is nice because it doesn't distort color as much as yellow glasses do.

My all time favorites are the polarized amber lenses in an older pair of Oakley's (the model was eyepatch I believe). Yes, they were expensive, but I have had them for 7 years and they have been durable and amazing for road cycling. My next pair will be the same lenses in a different style (with vents) because that is the one thing I hate about them...they fog up quickly when I come to a stop.

I have liked Serengeti since they were part of Corning, and they were actually MUCH more well built then. Since Luxotica took over they seem to have issue with the earpiece disintegrating. Truly, I have owned my last set for nearly 10 years now, so they aren't that bad......

Yup, I found that buying quality optics not only eliminated headaches, but also made me keep up with and take better care of them. My riding Oakleys are almost 10 as well...Blades iirc...and they still sell parts for them.
I personally switched to the yellow lens as it works well enough in daytime and excellent at night.

I just bought a pair of amber safety glasses from the local hardware store. I don't recall the brand. Just try some and see what fits. After that, I got a pair of Uvex Genesis safety glasses. I like them better and they are still fairly cheap. I recall around $13 for one with the lens and $2 or so for extra lenses.

If I were to purchase again, I'd also check out the X2 version as well:

Edit: I recall buying them from this online site. Here's a pair with the amber lens:
