been bothering me this evening...
...though maybe it's the beer talking
Anyway, the Zen question I can't determine:
Why "brifters" and not "shakes"?
I would be happy if someone actually knows...
Calamari to go
Interesting, in the mtb world we call them flippy shifters...
Out of breath again.
Actually, I think you can call them anything you want.
I call them STI's since that's what the manufacturer calls them.
Unless you run Campy.

"Brifter" sounds cool. "shakeyness" is not a property you want any part of your bike to have, so why name a part a quality you don't want?
ride like theres not 2mrw
Ohhhhhhh.... I got you...
I'm a little slow. I guess its the same thing with "sporks". Most people say Fork then Spoon, like "Fork and spoon", so when they're combined into one product, you'd want to say the last product first. "Brifters" sounds good...
