Does any seat compare to the Infinity?

I know this is a subjective question, but I had a chance to sit on an infinity seat the other day and couldn't believe how comfortable it was. It also only weighs 250 grams. The problem is it costs $300. Is there any other seat out there as comfortable (and light) that is more affordable?

Spam?

That being said, unless that company goes around handing them out for free, there’s zero chance I’d ever consider buying one.

Go to a specialized dealer, get measured, buy a saddle with the 30 day guarantee, and have a happy butt.

at 250 grams is no that light. I have a PRO Falcon Carbon AF saddle that only weighs 180 grams and it's very comfortable and only cost me $69

Mine is 133g & cost $100.

I think it's comfortable, & the all carbon gets some hard-man points.

Sitting on a saddle for a few minutes is not the real test,

but I've talked to some who use the Infinity & like it.

The Spider is similar in terms of flex & also has a fan base:

@woodcraft, which model do you have?

I'd love to try one.

SMP full- carbon knock off. I thought it was the real one when I bought it on CL.

How is it a spam question if Im saying the Infinity seat is extremely comfy, but way too expensive? Anyways, thanks for the replies.

Infinity does have a return policy although, I believe the return freight is on you. So you can try for 30 days. After trying many saddles I do have a Infinities on both my bikes. Over 1,000 miles on a trainer and about 500 on the road and no complaints. Set up is a little tricky though and, as pointed out by many SMALL adjustments can make a big difference.

I just read about Infinity seats on their website. I am going to order one base off of this part of the description.

"It allows the rider to feel the fluidity of their body, and the road with every pedal stroke."

I want to feel my fluidity with every stroke!

You'll especially feel the fluidity of the road when you ride through wet areas.

Specialized Romin Evo. Most comfortable saddle I've ever used, and cheaper and lighter than the Infinity.

The Idea of the Selle Anatomica saddle with its central slot was to have the 2 leather strips left on either side move with you legs ..

How long is infinity?

That ebay 'Prologo' (although the 3rd 'o' may not really be an 'o') is almost definitely a patent violation. The description looks suspiciously like a rewording of Selle SMP's patent application.

I am good with my Brooks Cambium C17 Carved. Did you get a chance to ride on the saddle for an extended period? That is the best way to know a saddle.

I wouldn't waste money on anything that advertises itself as a bicycle "seat." I don't sit on my bike, I ride it, and the support under me is called a saddle for a reason.

Are you using the gell version?

I guess your bike doesn't have a seat post or seat stays.

I'd be happier with calling it a 'saddle' if it didn't perch on a 'seat post' inserted into a 'seat tube'.

I guess the snobbery only goes so far. If he didn't "waste" money on bikes that have seat posts, seat tubes and seat stays, he wouldn't be here.

Phil Gaimon calls his ISM a seat. If it's good enough for Phil Gaimon and Chris Hansen, it's good enough for me.
