Ok you sick little puppies. I'm sure you could find what you seek at Fredericks of Hollywood, but I personally prefer form over fashion. I would think that a sweaty derry in anything other than a reliable pair of cycling shorts would HAVE to have a low flash-point.
Reminds me of that Richard Pryor moment , "..when you are on fire and running down the street...people will get out of your way!!!"
BTW...anyone who denies ever being on a bike in just cuffs and collars is a LIAR. Well, maybe not, but I wouldn't trust them anyway.

Worked for me. I recently passed a guy in his Pearl Izumi's and $1500 bike, while wearing a soggy Clemson t-shirt and soccer shorts. He was a really nice guy. (I would gladly have traded my gear for his.)

Depends on my mood, the bike I am riding, and what is clean in the closet.
For shorter "relaxing and fun" rides around the area on the mtn bike, regular shorts and any kind of a t-shirt.
For longer sorts of rides on the road bike, cycling shorts and any of 3 "nashbar-type" jerseys I have picked up on sale on the internet. My wife says they are starting to look ragged. When I lose just a bit more weight, my "Ride the Rockies" jersey - actually, I wore it the other day, and it ALMOST fit!!
