Autosol for Steel Frame?

I have a steel bike which I like very much. There are some black oxidsation at certain parts after I treated it with anti-rust some months back. I was thinking of giving it once over with autosol to make the chrome shine. Would I be harming the steel?

Thanks! zeck

I'm no metallurgist, but I don't see any problems. I've used it okay on handlebars.
