What cycling gear do you want for Father's Day?

Happy Father's Day to all Fathers!

I have asked my kids for cycling socks and a training diary. What are you asking for?

I don't need another manufactured holiday. "Thanks for being a good Dad" is enough.

I've got a never ending quest for new cycling stuff (White Industries eccentric fixed gear hub, new pedals and shoes, etc. etc. etc.) I really don't need anymore stuff. It won't make me any happier than I am right now.

In a few minutes I'm heading out to go mountain biking with my two sons. They're 28 and 30 and prototype best friends. I've been trying to figure out a way to tap in on that so a mountain bike ride with the two them is what I wanted for Father's Day. I'm really looking forward to it.

Did I mention that both of these guys own some seriously fast motorcross motorcycles and that they do some things on their mountain bikes that I'm not sure that I approve of. The older son spent a couple of hours in my shop last night tuneing up his Intense. If I should happen to die this morning, just be aware that I went out happy.

For Father's Day, I'd like a new bike... for myself!

The one and only thing I miss about North America: we don't observe Father's Day here in Europe.
Considering I saw Gippingen and two stages of the Tour de Suisse, I think I'll get over it.

I'm getting the day off so I can ride.

I don't really need any "stuff". I received 2 yellow jerseys today from Supergo. Adding them to my collection of commuter clothes.

I don't really need any more stuff either. (Although I wouldn't mind a set of Ultegra pedals.)

What I'd really like for Father's Day is to spend it with my son. Unfortunately, I'm in China for business, so I won't be able to do that.

Fortunately, he will get to spend time with each of his grandfathers, and then some time with his stepfather, so he will not lack for time with fatherly figures.

I wouldn't mind getting a new Record 12-23 steel-ti cassette for Dad's Day, or a nice set of Hutchinson "Tour de France" yellow/silver tires.
