Style Guide to Team Wear

Saw this on the Bicycling website. I thought it was pretty funny towards the bottom.

I am not a fashion Guro, but did you see what he was wearing, I won't get caught on that attire , I'd rather be dead

Observation #1: Bicycling.com should lose their pop-up windows pronto.

Observation #2: I saw a guy cycling in Murwillumbah (the olympic city) a couple of weeks ago wearing a suit on a Sunday morning. Where was he going in the olympic city on a sunday that he was going to need a suit? And why didn't he just change into it when he got there?

In the Frencg Pyrenees there is a small chapel dedicated to the sport of cycling. The walls are covered in old team jerseys.
Its weirds seeing a churche covered in adds for French agricultural banks and telecommunications companies.
You can also follow the material from heavy woolen jerseys, through Itchy and Scratchy Nylon ones, to the Lycra and Coolmax modern ones, the colours becoming more garish with every advance in dye technolgy.

There is nothing wrong with cycling in a suit. Ive done it before and in my town it wouldnt raise an eyebrow.

remember that bicycle is also a means of transportation, it doesn't mean that when somebody is riding a bike he is out flexing his muscles, so , its not a surprise seeing somebody in a coat and tie riding a bike, , the bike must be his mode of transportation

I wasn't criticising the guy, I just thought it was a little unusual. I just figured it would be more practical to ride in something more comfortable, then change into the suit.

I also have absolutely no idea where someone would be going in a suit in The Olympic city (Murwillumbah) on a Sunday morning. If I see him again I'll ask.

If I catch the train to work I cycle the mile each side of the stations in a suit...
