I'm there. I've only added rides since last weekend - it'll be interesting to watch progress!

I have checked out that site and entered some rides individually. What is the difference in being part of a team?

Ok, I joined the team. But maybe should note that we ride a tandem, so there are actually two of us, but just one bike.

There's still time (especially in Texas)... you may be kicking yourself if you dont make it to 1,000. I made it for the first time this year.
My hip flaired up again two days ago when I was playing with my kids, and now I'm worried that I may have done some kind of serious damage to it back in October, so hitting that minimum goal for next year is already beginning to concern me.

Go for the 1000 miles, Carl! 3 good rides and you'll be there! I'm determined to hit the 500 mark this year for myself, which I'm reasonably happy with given how infrequently I was actually at home this year. I've done a heckuva lot of extra miles on gym trainers, but it just doesn't feel right to add those miles in to me.

Living in Queensland, Australia, I'd talk myself out of a ride if I needed to wear a long sleeve jersey. It was just too damn cold...
In Denver, I'm happy to go for a ride so long as it's not a blizzard.
Not picking on you mate... I understand completely. But if you do have a windproof jacket and some long pants, you'd probably still enjoy it if you went out even for just 10 miles or so. I know for me, the toughest part is convincing myself to put my kit on and wheel the bike out the door. Everything that comes after that is always awesome.

Hi Carl,
I just joined and added in my ride from last Saturday. At 205lbs I may be bringing the average weight of the team up a bit!!

Hey Peter! Glad you're on board! Did you get my message about the DVDs? LOVE 'EM! Thanks!
Booyah: You're 100% right. On several occassions preparing for my MS 150 I didn't want to ride. When I made myself, as soon as I got 200 feet down the road, I would ask myself "Why did I not want to do THIS?" It's just mtivation which I'm sorely lacking on. You're right about getting out, though. I'm just gonna have to do it. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60 w/ little wind, so I'm gonna drag my butt out there or die trying!
Since I have 85 miles to go to 1,000 and 8 days to do it, I need to get over the complaints and "JUST DO IT!"
Thanks for all the words people. It's really helped. I'll post tomorrow PM after a good ride (I hope)...

I'd love to see you succeed; you are so close.
Good luck Carl!
(Just don't get crazy and hit 1,171 cuz then you'll make me feel bad *Gate says as he sits at 1,170 miles*)

Carl - thanks for bringing this post back to the top, and for posting your other thread. I've been in a bit of a lull too, mainly due to a hectic travel schedule over the past three months. Even on some gorgeous weekends in Denver I've stayed inside rather than get out and ride for no good reason at all. Now that I'm home for a month, you've helped give me some more enthusiasm to get back on the bike too! No matter how cold it is tomorrow, I'm riding to work.

I must have joined the wrong team - I only see two names (including my own) after I entered my rides from my Excel log. But, it let me "in" with the password you posted, so I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Anyone with ideas?

I found it quite confusing having to log in twice - once for the "Add a Ride" and again for the forum. Took a while to figure it out.
Also disappointed that, apparently (unbless I missed it somewhere) you can not see all of the team members on the same page.
Also, since it is very hard for me to get out for a ride due to darkness, work and cold, and since I am riding the trainer regularly in place of the bike, I AM going to post my training miles on the trainer, the best I can.
