Today, riding through a residential neighborhood, I spotted a truck in the left hand lane. I see the guy at the back of the pickup truck and am keeping a sharp eye on him in case he decides to cross the road to the construction site on my side of the street.
Located at the edge of the my lane by the construction site is a Port Potty. I'm tooling along at a good clip, focused on this guy when all of a sudden, the Porta Potty door opens right in front of me - opening into my lane. Out walks a young kid. I hit the brakes hard, hollering 'HEY', 'Watch Out', and managed to skid sideways and just miss the kid. Whew! He was so surprised, he just froze.
I can't believe they put the Porta Potty so close to the edge of the road - if a car is coming down the road and someone opens the door, it's going to tear the door off and God knows what will happen to the poor occupant.
In retrospect, it was pretty funny, but never did I think I'd have to beware of being 'doored' by a Porta Potty.
