any shoe that has the SPD drilling on the sole will work. Just about every shoe has SPD compatibility. The crank brothers clean mounts right onto the SPD holes and your set to go. cleats come with the pedals

The clearance of the tread against the pedals varies shoe to shoe. You may have to trim a little tread with a knife for a clean fit. And now that I have been selling the leg beaters for a few years, I am noticing that some shoes do not hold up as well to the pedals as others do. Stay away from any shoe with a carbon sole. So far, every carbon soled shoe I have seen has not fared well with the standard egg beaters. The Candy's on the other hand, with their extra support seem to be doing just fine on all shoes. But again, some trimming of the tread may be necessary to ensure a clean and stable hook up.

I have Egg Beaters on my commuter and have these shoes and these shoes. No problems.
