Brahma or Zoom Handlebar WANTED

First question, I tried to post on the "items wanted" forum, and it said I did not have priveleges to use that forum. Can someone explain the rules as to why I would not be able to use that forum when I do have an active membership logon?

Second, I am desperately trying to find a Brama or Zoom handlebar. They no longer make them. I purchased a Zoom (which is the Brama copycat) handlebar in the early 90's. They were popular then, but then bar ends seemed to have put them out of popularity. I much prefer the continuous nature of the Brama style bar. I have two bikes: One I use for off road, and one I use for on road. And when I'm riding the on-road bike with the typical straight raised bar, my hands hurt and I don't have enough position choices.

I'd love to find someone who has an old one lying around that they would like to sell.

Let me know how to post this to the correct forum! And if anyone out there has any suggestions. My on road bike currently is a 1990 steel mountain bike frame (which is much lighter and less bulky than the modern aluminum ones with shocks etc)--so I can't put typical road bike handlebars on it with the current gears etc. I don't want to put tons of money in new gears & cranks--but do want a comfortable handlebar.

the "advertise your services", "for sale", and "want to buy" forums are open to the donating members. Beats me as to why they did that, but that's how it's been for a while.

As for your handlebars, sorry I don't have any

Re: wanted is for donating members

Is there a set fee for donation in order to use those forums?

There is a $25 membership people can purchase, which gives them access to posting in those forums. It's pretty much a lifetime membership (32 years), but I guess if you're 15 and you donate at 15, you'll have to post again when you hit 47.

Here's the link for a subscription to upgrade your membership: http://www.bikeforums.net/subscriptions.php
