Bikes: the ever shifting stable loaded with comfortable road bikes and city and winter bikes
There was an intersting Associated Press article in the local paper this morning about Trek bicycle company. Did anyone else read it? I don't have the link to it, but it had some interesting statistics in it about bike sales. Road bike sales accounted for 28% of dollars spent on bike sales in 2004 versus 16% in 2002, according to the National Bicycle Dealer Association. But road bikes only accounted for 11% of total bikes sold.
Road bikes were the only catagory that saw an increase in the number of bikes sold from 2003-2004.
Is it the Lance factor?
