Rack on CF seat post?

Is it OK to use a rear rack that uses a “quick release” clamp that mounts only to the seat post on a CF seat post?

I vote no, and want you opinions.

Thks

Tom

No NEVER use a clamp on rack on a CF seatpost. It's not designed to support a load coming at from an angle other than the seat.

side note: Is it so hard to type two extra letters to spell "Thanks" correctly?

I'd likewise vote no, and would suggest a Carradice saddlebag and fixture that
fits to the saddle rails--let's you carry weight close to your body (f%^s with the handling of the bike less) and needs no rack on the bike nor eyelets on the rear dropouts. They're really the perfect solution to carrying weight on a racy bike.
