SUV drivers are stupid
 

SUVs and the drivers who own them suck. They dont use them off road, except when they parallel park them and climb the curbs. Many SUV owners are horrible drivers in regular cars b/c they don't think. I cant even tell you how many times I have seen little people (women and men) behind the wheel of some Envoy/Navigator/Surburban driving like an ass trying to compensate. It actually should be against the law for some people to have SUVs (e.g. new drivers, teenagers, people who have lots of infractions) It is the wastefulnesss in the character of the SUV owner that tries to justify their existance as well as their selfishness when they spout out how safe they are for themselves in the event of a collision (to say nothing of the carnage they do to regular cars when they imapct them). Here is a little free advise from a lawyer, "if you kill someone in your SUV and you are at fault, your insurance can not cover the entire cost (in damages) for the average life, you will lose your house and any other valuables you own in order to cover a judgment. This is the reason auto insurance has gone up exponentially since SUVs really hit the market. It is also time to step into the future and realize that the liquid that comes out of the hose you put in your tank is a non-renewable source product and not some magic liqiud from unlimited bottomless well most sissies/women tend to think. Many SUV owners have never even seen what gas actually looks like. -LOL- Get rid of your SUVs especially if you dont use them for what they were intended and make the world a better and safer place to be and save some money and possible somebody elses life at the same time. Additionally, it might make U.S. sponsored regime change in oil-rich countries unecessary.

I have always thought that SUVs are for men with size issues.

Here's some advice from another lawyer, "my wife is getting an SUV because every a-hole on the road has one and I want her to be safe if she gets hit."

Here's some advice from my insurance agent, "get a decent umbrella policy."

Aren't SUV's considered a truck by the safety people. They are not required to have the safety features such as reinforced passenger area and roll protected roofs. SUVs are actually not even close to being as safe as a passanger car.
For safety we would be much better off with a Volvo.

I drive my SUV "off road". OK, it's a US Government SUV, but I drive it. We get to complain about the stupid horrible people in wimpy 2-wheel drive cars, crawling up the road at 15 MPH, weaving across the entire width of the road, and parking in the downhill side/lane of the road. They steam my undies! Bassturds! :)

Yeah! Let's burn all the SUVs! I'll be right over to pick you up. I'm the little guy driving the green Suburban. Plenty of room for everything we'll need!

Seriously, I understand getting worked up, but take a deep breath and stop letting the SUV drivers of the world steal your life. I learned a long time ago not to let the things I cannot change bother me. It works most of the time.

Now that's a rant. Well done, sir.

How else would I be able to carry my two greyhounds around though?


BTW...most SUVs (about 90%) aren't really made for off-roading as they are still built on a uniframe (car) chassis.

Well, last week I was a noob because I put the valve cap on my valve stem.

Now I'm stupid because I drive an SUV.

When they have a hybrid that will haul eight people and pull a heavy trailer, then I'll get it!

DOMINION PARTICIPATES IN TEMPORARY VOLTAGE REDUCTION

RICHMOND, Va. – In conjunction with Dominion (NYSE: D), PJM initiated a
5 percent reduced voltage Wednesday afternoon in the Northern Virginia
area to ensure system reliability and help offset extremely heavy
electricity demand in the region.

The voltage reduction, which began at approximately 2 p.m., is not
expected to affect customers and should be terminated later today.

Dominion and PJM jointly are asking customers to take voluntary steps
to conserve energy during the period of unusually high demand. These
include:

• Close curtains and blinds to keep out the sun and retain cooler air
inside.
• Postpone using major electric appliances such as stoves, dishwashers
and clothes dryers until the cooler evening hours.
• If health permits, set your air conditioner thermostat higher than
usual.
• Turn off non-essential electric appliances and equipment.

The voltage reduction was necessary to support the stability of the
electricity infrastructure that serves the Northern Virginia, Washington,
D.C. and Baltimore areas. Those major metropolitan areas are an
extremely dense urban area and comprise one of the largest electricity load
centers on the East Coast.

Dominion’s 2.2 million customers in Virginia and northeast North
Carolina have set electricity demand records for the last two days.
Tuesday’s peak demand reached 18,360 megawatts – a record for the company.
That peak is expected to broken today.

Dominion is one of the nation's largest producers of energy, with an
energy portfolio of about 28,100 megawatts of generation, about 6
trillion cubic feet equivalent of proved natural gas reserves and 7,900 miles
of natural gas transmission pipeline. Dominion also operates the
nation's largest underground natural gas storage system with more than 965
billion cubic feet of storage capacity and serves retail energy
customers in nine states. For more information about Dominion, visit the

Nice rant dude. I'll add a little factoid for you. Some SUVs are actually not street legal on some streets. Ever see those signs, sometimes on local neighborhood streets, that read no vehicles over 6,000 pounds? No Suburbans, Escalades or Excursions allowed!

I've got a Toyota 4Runner and a Toyota RAV4 in my driveway (both SUVs), but many people seem to think I'm pretty smart. Go figure.

There are a lot of bad drivers out there, as well as plenty of folks who use more than their share of the planet's natural resources, and many of them don't drive SUVs. Worse than those who drive cars they don't need, though, are people who angrily make ridiculous generalizations like yours.
