I would imagine that there will be plenty of hills in that part of the state. I'm in the S-W part of Ohio. Nice and flat farmland here.

SW Ohio is flat?!!!? Where?! Well, Cincinnati is most definately NOT flat, but I suppose as you get out of the river valley it IS very flat. I grew up 100 miles north of here and it's flat as a pancake there. I come down here, and I'm climbing walls.

mrisis,

Welcome to some of the best hills in the area. I live in Woodsfield OH which is just 20 miles by road, South of Barnesville. Monroe County has some of the best riding in Ohio that is if you do not like anything flat. The only real flat road is SR 7 on the Ohio River and the traffic sucks. Try some of the great back roads around here. You need to watch for the family dog.

Good luck on the move to Barnesville.

I did my first 50 this am. Very hilly. It doesn't seem hilly when you're driving around, does it?

HWS,

Hills are a way of life for me. Just about any direction I go I will have a hill that is up to .7 mile long, or shorter hills with grades up to 16% that I have measured with a level and tape.

What part of OH are you in?

Well we are here safe and sound, and boy is the riding nice, tiring, but nice.
Went for a ride and quickly found myself in my first chain ring, guess I need to work on my uphill riding a-bit, going to hit some trails later on today.
