Major Bummer

While my wife is doing a 45 minute Bonk ride
I'm sitting here, watching my toe turn black. . .
stubbed it last night, tried to put on the Sidi's this
morning (even after icing it) but no go.
So, I read forum, she rides.

You have my sympathy. I've been banned from exercise since the third for a kidney stone. Last Dr visit is Monday though. Maybe back on the bike Tuesday.

Lotek, you have my sympathy- I had that knee klonk a while back and it was a bummer to be off the bike. Being off the bike for any reason is a bummer, whether it's a bad cold or a horrible accident! But in some ways, the small, naggy things are worse, because the rest of you is fine. The foot will feel better in a couple of days.

Marty - You can hobble across the street and wash my bikes if you get bored. OK, so that was low. Get better soon - Scott

Oh the old black toe thing. It'll take a couple or three days but you'll be back on it in no time. You do have my sympathy. I was out for nearly 3 weeks from the knee surgery and my legs are gone. It's like starting over.

I hear you Ocean Rider. I worked really hard last year to get my climbing legs and I was pretty satisfied. By the end of last summer I was riding up mountains comfortably. Kept riding all winter on trainer but had my back fused in Feb. I finally can get back on my bike and even the little hills are tough again. I'm really frustrated.

How about open-toed sandals on platform pedals? I use them all the time on my mtn bike.
