Car doors don't just take us out ...

Tyler Hamilton also got wacked:

https://www.velonews.com/news/fea/2956.0.html

Here's a blip from the article:

"Hamilton suffered a horrible crash Sunday while warming up on the GP Eddy Merckx course outside Brussels with teammate Andrea Peron. The course was still open to traffic and a motorist opened their car-door into Hamilton's left side, sending him sprawling to the pavement.

"Andrea and I were doing a lap on the course. A car passed us at a green light, slowed down and stopped, then boom!, the door opened right into the side of me," Hamilton said. "I didn't have time to put my hands up or even slow down. The door opened into me and I had no time to react. It clipped my left leg and threw me to my right side. I went head first down on the pavement."

Hamilton was cut badly just above his left eye, slicing a small vein and causing him to lose a lot of blood. He also cut in his left quad and broke his right collarbone."

Ouch!

Happens even to the best. Hope he recovers completely.

Wow, Hamilton seems to be in a lot of accidents! In the Giro he spilled hard a few times, he looked like a mummy with all the bandages.

Had a friend a few months ago get hit in the helmet by a side mirror of a big tin can passing him. Lucky for him his head stayed on, and his neck is okay after a few days of pain. Oh, and foot note, the driver..... no insurance....

I will admit that my cynical mind pondered this same question briefly.

Yup, and this time it's the OTHER (right) shoulder. I guess he'll be totally symetric now.
