New hydration product idea, can I get your input?
I am working on a small device for hydration packs that, among other things, will let you know at all times, how much fluid you have left in your bag. Would you see this as being useful? Either way is great! I will totally appreciate your input.

i just got back from a week of backcountry travel(on foot not bike) and there were times when it would be nice to know how much left. i found myself stopping early to purify, unpacking to get at the bladder cause i didn't know how much fluid i had left. if you can do it simply and really light there's a market for sure.

that would be brilliant. When riding with a camelbak, it's easy to tell by weight, but when backpacking, it's hard to tell the difference between 55 pounds, and 51.

as a cyclist - my opinion is that a water level meter would not have any benefit,
however improved airflow and weight distribution on the back for minimum stress and maximum evaporation for natural cooling would be good, also a device which would allow splashing water on the face would be a great improvement.

Aero bottles, yes, but not camelbacks. Just squeeze the bottom with your hand, and you can guess very precisely how much water is in there.

Wind tunnel testing has shown that, if you have a bike with round frame tubes, having two round bottles in cages on the frame is more aero than not having them.
