"Honda announced it has succeeded in developing the world’s first production motorcycle airbag system."
It looks like more dangerous!

The day bike is equiped with airbag will be soon!? :D

Have you seen those european motorcycles with full roll cages and seat belts? They are all over in Paris. I don't think you'd get wet if it rained.

Hi filtersweep,

Of course! They are all over in Japan, too. They are delivering pizza.

> I don't think you'd get wet if it rained.

Yes, you are right. I want one on my bike. :D

Haha, i saw those on my trip to europe a few years ago, and was just standing there thinking, "bunch of wusses not wanting to get wet" :)

They have been kicking M/C airbags around for a while.

But what happens if they go off accidentally? I took a rock strike in my face shield once and didn't crash, but I'm thinking with an airbag in your face you are almost guaranteed to crash.

No thanks, I'll take my chances with a hard landing after a short flight, while wearing proper motorcycling apparel.

I'm a safety geek, but this just looks like a bad idea.

What about the "air suit"- where your entire suit sort of blows up into a giant ball with you inside?

Did you come up with that on your own, or have you been reading "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson? One of the main characters has one of those...

From Woody Allen's "Sleeper". He used it to float across the river behind him, but it wouldn't be hard to adapt with a lanyard clipped to the handlebars. Just be sure to unclip it before you walk away from the bike.
