Blue 27" tires?

I just converted an old road bike to singlespeed for my girlfriend, and one of the tweaks we want to make are the tires. It needs new tires, that much is undisputable. I know I can get decent 27" tires fairly readily. What I want to know is this - are there any colored 27" tires available anywhere? Ideally we would want blue tires, but that may be looking for hen's teeth. I am referring to the color of the rubber, rather than the sidewalls.

Either Sears or Huffy had road bikes with blue tires about 20+ years ago. They are hard to find, but if you keep your eyes open at thrift stores, you might be able to find a whole bike for a few bucks and just keep the tires.

Bike Nashbar had some pail gray colored tires a few years ago. I bought some; 120 psi 27"! The tires cracked, though and they were slippery when wet, so I was not happy with the quality.

Check out www.nashbar.com

They often have something special.

Walmart has some 27" tires with a reflector strip around it. It is a typical black/gumwall tire, but the reflector stripe adds something.

I pretty much have no expectation whatever that I'll actually find anything particularly interesting in 27" tires, but I figure it's at least worth asking.

Depends on how you define interesting. The Conti TT 2000
is a fine tire.
