some advice please

hi all just looking for some advice my wife and i were going to get a couple of bikes at the weekend we go along the so called typical cycle tracks and paths but i go off road with the m8s sometimes as well. As we aren't looking for anything to fancy we saw in one of the local shops 2 saracen roughtrax mountain bikes for 190.00 pounds for both and were told allthough they wern't anything special they are great value for money and are a right good strong bike Any info would be great cheers

Good but basic bikes. Suitable for towpaths, tracks and other sustrans type routes. Won't take really extreme surfaces, but for an intro to normal mtbing they're fine - and at £190 for the two, very good value.

Beware, however - your wallet will be taking a pounding sometime next year when you feel the urge to test yourselves on rougher routes
