Waaahh...Stupid "Honey Do" list Too Big!

Ohhh....I had it all planed in my head all week long. I brought the bike in the house and cleaned it in the kitchen for Petes Sake! I was even lucky enough to pick up earlier this week a auto 2-bike rack at Good Will for only $2.49! And it works!
I was all geared up to take the Trek400 to Sacramento's famous 32 mile (one way mind you.) "American River Bike Trail"! I was up at 6 o'clock this morning....Coffee brewing....reading some of your guy's posts on the Forum,. when she comes glumping down the stairs. Thump, Thump Thump....Cigarette already dangling in the mouth, lighter inhand, "Don't forget we're switching the kids rooms today!"
"Aaaaagggggghhhhhh!!"
Well, I spent about an hour riding this evening just around the hood. All the houses look alike, Stop signs popped up on every corner. Only other bikes I saw were in opened garages, hanging up-side down like hunted down game.
Buts theres still tomorrow.

So was your wife wearing one of your tank tops, nothing else, hair all knoted up and also have a beer in the other hand? And did it not sound more like, "where the he11 do you think you are going...". That's just the image I get from the above statement

How long could it take to swap the kids rooms? Should have gone for the ride and then do the rooms. Just tell your wife that the ride is to warm you up so you do not strain anything when you move the beds.

LOL- Actually Iwent to the river today (Sunday) And had a blast. First time I took the roadie there. Was doing great the first 30 miles, Never said "On your left" so many times. After a while I just said "Left".
Then this couple on road bikes passed me and she had a "great" butt and that motivated me to keep up with them for about a half hour. The bike path forked and before I knew it Great Butt and her guy pal led me to a area of downtown Sac that I was not familar with. So long Great butt. Back to the path for me.
At the end of the trail at Discovery park I parked the bike and had a snack and rested for about 15 minutesbefore heading back to my car and rack . Using the mile markers and my watch I figured I must be doing around 14-15 mph. Not bad concidering when I was a smoker I was lucky to do 9 mph, WTG Dang.
10 miles to go then all of a sudden I seemed to have lost my energy. My leggs and butt hurt. I shiftef to low granny to keep my candance to 60 but I was just getting more and more tired. With just five miles to go i pulled over and leaned my trek on a picnic table, Sat on the top and just watched hundreds of cyclist cruise by on there wheels. I sat for about a 30 minutes. Fat riders, skinny riders, short riders were all out there today. It was great.
The break and a minor seat adjustment must have been the ticket for I was passing many of the folks I saw ride by me earlier while I was resting. And before I knew it I was loading the bike and heading home.
By the way. My wife has a great butt also. My motivation for switching the rooms.
Life is good.
