I'm a T.R. man, his welding and design made me realize cycling on a HQ frame is a world of difference.
Getting one of his older mtb racing frames to replace my stolen commuter was a god send.
I now offroad cycle\xc -looking towards trials, -well, and am a 'cyclist' constantly honing my skills.
Big change from 'bike rider\commuter'.
The frame is from 1990 (not raced), has now had 600
$ worth of retrofit.
The guy pretty much invented the HT mtb, I bet he'd find my 'build' pretty cool.
I had no real experience with his frames or parts before the purchase, just a name from memory.
Now I would buy most any component that he designs and a busted HT frame for me means finding a T.R. racer if at all possible.
Maybe I got the frame 2 months before joining B.F.
I even build bikes now!
Thanks B.F. guys\gals\sexless aliens...and Tom.
