I have found not 1 but 2 good watches, the $100 ones. One in a park where I told the ranger station if somebody claimed it to call me. The other on the side of the road. Also many tools, screwdrivers, wrenches. When I was running picked up a T-bar once!!!

Riding from from the store with my new Niterider light, an hour ago, I found a bracket on the bike path. When I got home and opened the new light, I discover that the bracket I found fits the new light! Now I have an extra.
Pretty neat coincidence, don't you agree?

Found a wallet with $44 inside.
Called the owner, he was a friend of my next door neighbor.
He came to get it, gave me the $44 bucks.

Rode out to a Tour of California stage and on my way back had some Liquigas Cannondale mecs offer me a box of their bottles. Needless to say, I took it

Tools, from jewelers size screwdrivers up to pipe wrenches, 20' of 3/8 chain, an almost new pair of cold weather cycling gloves, (they were 7 miles apart from each other!) A brand new pair of work boots, never worn, my size.

A wallet with $2000 in it. Got $50 reward. A back pack with a $1000 PC in it. No reward from a University professor.

I've found a couple of ID's belonging to local high school kids. The schools require them and they have to pay to get a replacement. I gave them to my son and he turns them in.
On a strange note, I make some knives on occasion and found a large live oak burl. The limb it was on was the victim of an ice storm this winter. It's peacefully drying as I type this. It probably needs a few more months.
The best thing so far was a Husqvarna weed eater. I made an attempt to locate it's owner via social media to no avail. Now I use it. It needed a new gas cap and air cleaner cover. 20 bucks total.

Haven't found much really. Best things were a cheapy mini pump and a plastic Craftsman tool box. The found pump replaced my larger mini pump in the frame bag. There were no tools in the box, but I intend to fiddle with the inside to fit my tools and stuff. Some other things include a green bungee (that has since been misplaced), pedal reflectors, a small model car with display base, a tiny plastic stegosaurus, and like, a quarter.
I ride a powerline dirt road often and jerks dump their trash alongside, so I have hopes to one day find fixable/usable bike or parts amongst the rubbish.
Oh, and once while taking a break I saw plastic "baggie" of something white, just like in COPS . Yeah, I let that one alone.

On a group ride yesterday with 3 different groups totaling ~60 people all passing the same point (A,B and us in the last C group) I was at the tail as we rode past an iPad face down. No one stopped for it, riding was worth more.
