Is anyone familiar with the Marin Mill Valley?

I have been looking for another bike. My commuter is good, solid, and reliable, but I've been thinking about something faster and sportier for weekend fun rides. I've tried a couple of true road bikes with dropped bars, but my back just can't handle it So, I've been looking at hybrids. Most of what I've seen is not all that different than the Diamondback comfortbike I use as a commuter. This Marin however is very light wieght, has narrow road tires, high gearing, etc. and seems pretty well made. It is pretty pricy by my standards, about $800, but I can afford it if it is a decent product. Anybody out there own one or have an opinion about Marin bikes? I have no experience with them and would greatly appreciate any input you guys might have. Thanks!
