Has this ever happened to you?...

I was ready to head out this morning and ring ring the cell blares in my jersey pocket. Work needed me to cover a shift and my parents basically said, you need the money, GO! So I hopped on my coommuter and off to work.

Work to miss a ride... hmmm!

Has this every happened to you

I have started out on rides before and had to turn around after a call. I am on 24 hour call for 7 days straight every third week. Some calls I have to do right away, others I can hold off until after the ride. I hate the ones that make me drop what I am doing.

Don't these people know how important a ride is to our sanity??????

No, I turn off my office cell or just leave it at home whenever I go out. F' em! It's my weekend. Besides, there's always someone else who's at home that my office can call.

I've taken work calls while out on the bike but you can bet your a$$ I'm not going in on a day off unless the joint is on fire.
